Title: Modular forms and congruences

Abstract: Modular forms are periodic holomorphic functions satisfying a "weighted" functional equation. Their Fourier coefficients have a surprising connection to number theory, specifically Galois representations. We will discuss some conjectures and results relating congruences of Fourier coefficients of modular forms and weights of modular forms. The main tool is a theory of local models for moduli of Galois representations.
