Title: Introduction to shtukas

Abstract: Shtuka is a vector bundle over a curve in positive characteristics with certain extra structure, which was first introduced by Drinfel’d in the 70’s. It is an object of "linear algebraic" nature, playing very important roles in Langlands programme over function fields.

In this talk, I would like to give a gentle introduction to shtukas (including motivation and history). If time permits, I would like to explain my joint work with Paul Hamacher on classification of shtukas up to isogeny.
